Sewage Treatment Plant Devastating for Clonshaugh

Daryl Barron, Fianna Fáil Area Representative for Beaumont-Donaghmede Ward has reacted furiously to news of the proposed site for the treatment plant in Clonshaugh. This will affect the local communities badly with pollution to the local Environment. This will cause harm to local residents of Clonshaugh which are going to be the ones left worst off.

The decision to pick this location because of being €18 Million cheaper is morally wrong and unjust to local residents. Last year I had campaigned against this proposed site with Senator Averil Power regarding this which many of the local residents had not even heard about the proposed site at the time.

Fingal County Council have planted this on the doorstep of Dublin City Council, and have made the decision based on what was best for their area but completely disregarding the residents involved.
